I don’t know what it was. The way you tried to sound so profession, the childish words (fat and ugly!) or the fact you could actually pronounce those misspellings but whatever it was made this hilarious! This was one of the actual few times I literally ‘laughed out loud.’

(To be honest I figured DELTA Invasion was more well-known and would have been better for a tribute but I can see why you wouldn’t of used that one… the sheer size of it alone being one reason!)

THANK YOU SO MUCH. As far as bad fanfiction readings go, this is definitely on par with the classics. I’ve been a longtime admirer of Issei’s…works, and was wondering why they never get any attention, when I happened to come across this podcast. Let it be known that I LOL’d heartily.
By the way, Ive been listening to your books on tape. I just finished part two (part three). So bad. It’s so, so bad. I think the funniest part of the whole thing so far is in the actual part two when they call Shinji gay, and he denies it and you go “even THOUGH HE KNEW THAT WAS A LIE!” It made me crack up to all hell man.

I’m now adapting a sequel.
Issei’s done several other fics. There’s a sequel to Hellstorm in which Issei and pals work together with God to prevent the Devil’s wife Jezebel from overthrowing heaven, and there’s also Issei Strikes Back, which occurs in the middle of Hellstorm I proper.
Finally, there’s Fate of the Children by Lisa Foster, which was inspired by the original Hellstorm Evangelion, in which her half-angel avatar seduces Asuka and Rei and then has a hadouken fight with the last angel in order to save the world. I’m currently adapting FotC in order for it to serve as a “filler episode” before I adapt Hellstorm Evangelion II and complete the trilogy.
